Check out these amazing photos from a shoot I did with some seattle high school students from the RHS Photo program. This Shoot was epic. I must say that man could never make a backdrop this incredible. For the last year, along with leading Young Life, we have been volunteering at the high school near our home in Seattle. A couple times a week I go into roosevelt and help teach the Mrs. Otto's photo class. It has been an amazing experience. I love to teach and I believe with all of my heart that the more faithful I am to give out freely the knowledge and talents that have been entrusted to me the more and more my photography has grown and advanced.
Today at the park I tried to teach them about shooting in the golden hour as pertaining to direction of natural light (finding great light), sun-bounce, and off camera flash, with an emphasis on properly setting your appature and shutter speed for the desired exposure and effect. It kind of was as intense as it sounds. These kids are amazing. a couple of the girls are working on getting websites up online. When they are finished, I will post a couple of there best shots from the shoot and a link to there sites.
Cheers, Jason
